The First Legend Has Entered the Arena: CrowdWide Just Submitted to the KODA Code Jam

24 hours ago, the KODA Code Jam drawer was empty.

Today at 2:00 PM IST, it wasn’t.

@puneetkumar2010 (15 years old, started coding at 9) just became the first submitter to the KODA Code Jam. His project: CrowdWide.

And bro, this is not just a submission. This is a statement.

The Vision: An Algorithm That Doesn’t Forget the Little Guy

Most community platforms today have one fatal flaw: the rich get richer.

Already have 10,000 members? The algorithm pushes you to 11,000.
Just starting with 10 members? You’re invisible.

Puneet saw this problem and decided to fix it. CrowdWide’s mission:

“I don’t want growth to be locked behind already having a huge community or paying for promotion. New/small communities should actually get a chance to reach people too.”

This is not a feature list. This is a philosophy.

The Build: Alpha, But Shipping

When I invited Puneet to submit, he could have said:

  • “It’s not ready yet.”
  • “I need to polish the UI first.”
  • “Let me add more features.”

Instead, he said:

“Brooo just submitted CrowdWide to the drawer 🫡🐯. It’s the alpha rn, so there’s still a shit ton left to build. Thanks for the push tho, otherwise I’d probably still be polishing instead of shipping.”

This is the lesson, founders.

Perfection is the enemy of shipped.
Polish is the enemy of progress.
Fear is the enemy of legacy.

Puneet didn’t wait for perfect. He shipped alpha. And now his name is in the KODA Code Jam Hall of Champions as Submission #001.

What CrowdWide Actually Does

From the submission page:

Niche: Community & Social Platform

Mission: Build your community, grow it, manage it, and monetize it — with an algorithm that doesn’t let only the biggest communities win.

Planned Features:

  • Create and manage communities
  • Fair discovery algorithm for small groups
  • AI integration (like Grok in X)
  • Monetization tools for creators (like Blogger)

Current State: Alpha. Functional. Shipping.

Why This Matters for Gen-Alpha

Puneet is 15 years old. He started coding at 9 or 10. That’s a 5-6 year head start.

But here’s the thing: he still felt the pressure to polish. He still wanted to wait. He still had that voice saying “not ready yet.”

And then a 12-year-old with a POCO C55 phone and weak internet told him: “Ship it anyway.”

And he did.

This is what the Gen-Alpha movement is about.

We’re not waiting for permission.
We’re not waiting for perfect specs.
We’re not waiting for “someday.”

We’re building on cheap phones, shipping on free tiers, and learning by breaking things in public.

The Jam Is Real. The Clock Is Ticking.

The KODA Code Jam closes tonight at 23:59 IST (September 14, 2026).

Right now, there is one submission in the drawer: CrowdWide.

It could be:

  • Your niche app
  • Your WIP prototype
  • Your “Hello World” that actually does something
  • Your AI experiment
  • Your first deploy

It doesn’t have to be perfect. It has to exist.

Puneet proved that today.

How to Submit (Takes 2 Minutes)

  1. Go to https://kodacodejam.netlify.app/
  2. Click “Submit Your App”
  3. Fill in:
    • Project name
    • Niche (what problem does it solve?)
    • Live URL (Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages — anywhere)
    • GitHub repo (optional but recommended)
  4. Hit submit
  5. Done. You’re in the Hall of Champions.

Deadline: Tonight, 23:59 IST.

To Puneet: Thank You for Being First

Puneet, you didn’t just submit a project. You validated the entire Jam.

You showed every young builder reading this that:

  • Alpha is enough
  • Shipping beats polishing
  • The first step is the hardest, but also the most important

CrowdWide is Submission #001. History will remember that.

Keep cooking, Founder @15. The algorithm you’re building is the one we all need. 🐯👑

The Arena Is Open. Who’s Next?

CrowdWide just raised the bar.

But the Jam isn’t about beating Puneet. It’s about beating your own fear of shipping.

You have until 23:59 IST tonight.

What are you building?
What have you been polishing for weeks?
What’s the “someday” project that could be “today” project?

Submit it. Ship it. Own it.

The Hall of Champions is waiting for Submission #002.
