I tried migrating a somewhat complex WordPress site to Astro. Here’s what I learned: porting the structure (posts, custom post types, custom fields, etc.) is neither complicated nor time-consuming—however, recreating the UI exactly from scratch is a major challenge. Quite honestly, I’d rather start with an existing template than try to replicate the original exactly 🙃

My win this week is probably something much simpler: having a little time to actually enjoy life. 😅
After a pretty crazy few months of internships, hackathons, projects, interviews, and finally getting placed, I’m finally in a position where I can slow down a little.

So this week I’ve been trying to spend more time with family and friends, catch up on things I kept postponing, and just enjoy having some free time without constantly thinking about the next deadline.

Getting placed was obviously a huge milestone, but honestly, having some time to breathe and enjoy the people around me feels like a win too. ❤️
