What I Built

A fan-style football time app that announces the current time in a bold, stadium-like voice experience. It identifies a standout football player for the chosen match or competition and speaks the time in a playful, match-day style.

The app was built to turn a simple clock into something more exciting for football fans, combining live AI player selection with voice synthesis for a memorable announcement experience.

The project code is in this repository and includes:

• ElevenLabs voice synthesis

How I Built It

I built the app as a lightweight Flask web experience where a user enters a major football event, and the app uses Groq to identify a standout player for that event. It then generates a short announcement that says the time and uses ElevenLabs to turn the announcement into audio.

The interface is designed to feel like a fan experience, with a stadium-inspired layout and audio playback. I also added persistence so the last generated announcement and its files are retained between requests.
