I built a free online PDF toolbox that runs entirely in the browser

I just launched PDFToolBox – a collection of free
online PDF tools.

## Why I built this

Most online PDF tools require you to upload your files to their servers. I wanted
to build something different – a tool that processes everything in your browser.

  Tech Stack

• React + TypeScript

• Vite

• Tailwind CSS

• pdf-lib for PDF manipulation

• PDF.js for rendering

## The Challenge

The biggest technical challenge was implementing PDF processing in the browser. I
used pdf-lib for creating/modifying PDFs and PDF.js for rendering. This
means:

• No backend server needed
• No privacy concerns
• Works offline after initial load
