Today, I published my first Android app on the Amazon Appstore.

The app is called Halo, a task manager built around a simple idea:

Productivity apps shouldn’t just be useful — they should feel good to use.

Most task managers already have reminders, priorities, and checklists. What I noticed is that many of them feel cluttered or overwhelming after a while.

With Halo, I wanted to focus on a cleaner experience:

Beautiful built-in themes
Smooth task completion animations
Swipe gestures
Daily streak tracking
Priority levels
Subtasks
Fully offline
No login required

One of the biggest milestones wasn’t coding the features — it was getting through the app submission process and seeing the app go live on the Amazon Appstore.

As an indie developer, seeing the app officially published was incredibly rewarding.

What I Learned
Shipping is harder than building.
App store approval requires attention to details like privacy policies, screenshots, descriptions, and testing.
User experience matters just as much as features.
Launching is only the beginning. Getting users is the real challenge.
What’s Next

I’m currently looking for feedback from Android users and productivity enthusiasts.

What feature makes you stick with a task manager long-term?

Is it:

Simplicity?
Design?
Speed?
Widgets?
Reminders?
Something else?
